The Design 9 Modern Home Awards 2023

Modern Luxury Interiors Scottsdale is thrilled to launch its inaugural Design 9 Awards which recognizes and honors the teams that create excellence and innovation in modern design. The Design 9 will represent projects showcasing Arizona’s best residential architecture, interior design, building and landscape design. Submit your project for one or more of the nine categories for an opportunity to join The Design 9 and be featured in the Vol. 4 issue of Modern Luxury Interiors Scottsdale. One of The Design 9 winners will also be honored as the 2023 Mod Lux Home of the Year and be featured on the front cover. Count your project among the best of the best!

ELIGIBILITY

• Design, building, architecture and landscaping professionals within the United States who have completed work on a project in AZ are eligible to make a submission of that project.
• Project submissions must have been completed between 2021 and 2023. We will accept submissions that have been previously published.
• Entries must be a completed space or project.

JUDGING CRITERIA

• In addition to Modern Luxury Interiors' Editor in Cheif, a juried panel of notable industry experts will review submissions and select winners.
• Each project is evaluated on its own merits according to the following criteria:
  • Aesthetics: Is the design engaging, compelling, visually stimulating? Does it provoke interest, have the capacity to be captivating?
  • Regionally Relevant: How well does the project fit into the regional landscape and environment in Arizona? How appropriate is it in context?
  • Creativity: Does it center around modern design or original approach, use a new medium or materials?

SUBMISSION SPECS

• Images
  • Submit up to 20 images in jpg format with a maximum size of 10 MB.
  • Professionally shot high-resolution images strongly recommended.
  • Images submitted may not contain watermarks and/or logos.
  • Image descriptions must include a caption and photographer credit.
• Description
  • Submit project/room description of up to 200 words, which should include:
    • Inspiration behind the project/room.
    • Notes on architectural features.
    • Notes on style and/or color palette.
    • Notes on distinctive materials.

WINNERS RECEIVE

• Promotion on modernluxuryinteriors.com, Modern Luxury Interiors social media platforms
• Prestigious Display Award.
• Social media assets to promote their win.

• 1st Submission - $275
• $95 for additional submissions
• All material required for a submission must be provided by the date and time when submission close. Submissions that do not follow specifications will be disqualified without notice or refund.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Works are excluded from the competition if their presentation would infringe a right. The entrant authorizes Modern Luxury to publish the submission in their print edition of the magazine, on modernluxury.com, and any affiliated websites and social media platforms. The submission may be reproduced, in whole or in part, for editorial and promotional purposes.
• Entrants acknowledge that they have read the Official Rules of the 2023 Mod Lux Home of the Year Awards, and in particular the sections on entrant's respresentations, warranties and covenants regarding their Submission Content. Submission Content becomes the property of Modern Luxury and their affiliates, and will not be returned.
• Refunds are no available for submissions once they have been formally entered. Submissions made that do not follow specifications are disqualified. We will unfortunately not be able to provide a refund.
