November 8, 2024 - All Winners featured in Modern Luxury Scottsdale Interiors November Design 9 Awards issue on newsstands November 8, 2024.

GUIDELINES

• All times are expressed in U.S. Eastern time. If a date is the beginning or opening of a period, the deadline occurs at 12:00 a.m. on that day. If a date is the ending or closing of a period, the deadline occurs at 11:59 p.m. on that day.
• Entries must be submitted and received via the online entry system by 11:59 p.m. on August 26, 2024.
• Each project can only be entered into one house category. This includes the following categories: best estate, best family residence, best vertical living, best mountain/hillside or best contemporary.
• You can enter into the same project for multiple room categories. This includes the following: best kitchen, best bath, best primary suite and best outdoor living space.
• Only residential projects are accepted.
• Awards will be made to the entire design team.
• Submissions can be made either by an individual or a firm.
• Submissions will only be considered for awards in the category for which they were submitted.
• All submissions will then be considered for Modern Luxury Home of the Year
• All images must be jpg. Low-resolution images need to be submitted. If you have a winning project, you will be contacted for high-resolution photography.
• A project description is required.
• All design project must be located with AZ
• All design projects must be from 2021 moving forward

ELIGIBILITY

• Design, building, architecture and landscaping professionals within the United States who have completed work on a project in AZ are eligible to make a submission of that project.
• Project submissions must have been completed between 2021 and 2024. We will accept submissions that have been previously published.
• Entries must be a completed space or project.

JUDGING

• In addition to Modern Luxury Interiors' Editor in Chief, a juried panel of notable industry experts will review submissions and select winners.

SUBMISSION SPECS

• Images
  • For home categories you must submit up to 20 images in jpg and up to 10 megabytes and need to submit 1 floorplan via jpg or pdf.
    • This includes the following categories: best estate, best family residence, best vertical living, best mountain or hillside home or best contemporary.
  • For the four room categories you must submit 5-10 images in jpg and up to 10 megabites and need to submit 1 floorplan via jpg or pdf.
    • This includes the following categories: best kitchen, best bath, best primary suite and best outdoor living space.
  • Images submitted may not contain watermarks and/or logos.
  • Image descriptions must include a caption and photographer credit.
• Entry Form
  • Must submit design statement up to 300 words
  • Required to complete all entry forms

WINNERS RECEIVE

• Featured editorially in volume 4.
• Promotion on modernluxuryinteriors.com, Modern Luxury Interiors social media platforms
• Prestigious Display Award.
• Social media assets to promote their win.

• 1st Submission - $275
• $95 for additional submissions
• All material required for a submission must be provided by the date and time when submission close. Submissions that do not follow specifications will be disqualified without notice or refund.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Works are excluded from the competition if their presentation would infringe a right. The entrant authorizes Modern Luxury to publish the submission in their print edition of the magazine, on modernluxury.com, and any affiliated websites and social media platforms. The submission may be reproduced, in whole or in part, for editorial and promotional purposes.
• Entrants acknowledge that they have read the Official Rules of the 2024 Mod Lux Home of the Year Awards, and in particular the sections on entrant's representations, warranties and covenants regarding their Submission Content. Submission Content becomes the property of Modern Luxury and their affiliates, and will not be returned.
• Refunds are not available for submissions once they have been formally entered. Submissions made that do not follow specifications are disqualified. We will unfortunately not be able to provide a refund.

  • We have assembled a juried panel of judges who will review all projects with a common scoring method.
• Where are results being published?
  • The winners will be published in the November Issue of Modern Luxury Interiors. We will dedicate all of our regional editorial pages to the stories behind the Design 9 winners and their projects.

• How many categories can I enter?
  • We have waived the submission fee this year and there is no limit to number of entries submitted.
• Who wins the awards?
  • The Design 9 award will go to the entire design team of the winning project including the Architect, builder, interior designer and landscape designer.
• Who wins the Modern Home of the Year?
  • We will award one big winner on the Night of the Design 9 Modern Home Awards event on November 7th, at The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort
